  • Audit - Forensic Analyst

    The Forensic Analyst will be responsible for the performance and evaluation of various analysis, conducting research, and assistance in preparation and formulation of reports and exhibits in conjunction with forensic consulting engagements. The FA will also be involved in various engagement management and forensic consulting practice management tasks. This position may also involve performing certain tasks on-site at client’s facilities and in the field at other third party locations and places.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Analysis
    • Prepares various analysis in conjunction with engagement work requirements and work product including:
      • Conducts analysis of financial and other data including work in Excel and other forensic software;
      • Completion of appropriate data in financial models including valuation models and forensic analysis tools;
      • Analyze data and results of procedures and draw conclusions.

    Research
    • Conducts, documents and analyzes various research in conjunction with performing forensic work including:
      • Economic (macro and micro) in conjunction with valuation and other applicable engagement and reports;
      • Background searches and public records searches on entities and individuals;
      • Drafting reports on results of background searches to be provided to client/user;
      • Research on other subjects and matters as required including prior cases and case documents.

    Reports
    • Assists in the development and formulation of engagement reports and work product including:
      • Draft engagement reports including expert witness reports required by Federal Rules of Civil Procedures (FRCP) Rule 26;
      • Assist in the creation of trial exhibits and coordinate with legal counsel.

    Engagement Management
    • Assists in the management of forensic consulting engagements including:
      • Coordination and conducting conflicts checks prior to engagement acceptance;
      • Research and formulation of restrictions on our work scope with respect to the applicable policies, legal jurisdiction, laws, regulations, or other authoritative bodies in performing our forensic work;
      • Preparation of engagement letters and budgets;
      • Set up and maintain Case Ware engagement work paper files;
      • Create and maintain engagement "working lists" of all parties and information;
      • Logging, securing and maintaining case documents and evidence that require "chain of evidence" requirements;
      • Create "testimony notebook" for engagements and cases for testimony;
      • Coordinate obtaining documents from attorneys and clients and responding to requests;
      • Ensuring assigned work is performed in accordance with RAFFA methodology and requirements.

    Forensic Consulting Practice Management
    • Assists in the management and administration of the RAFFA Forensic Consulting Practice including:
      • Updating Curriculum Vitae’s of FCP partners and staff including maintaining files on FRCP Rule 26 requirements;
      • Maintain and update FCP engagement letters and standard correspondence;
      • Development and update of practice tools and resources including proprietary financial models and reports;
      • Assist in client billing and collection;
      • Maintain and coordinate updates for FCP library, subscriptions, and resources;
      • Monitor and report on FCP partners and staff continuing education requirements;
      • Coordinate and make arrangement for external and internal training and conferences for partner and staff;
      • Assist in FCP practice development and marketing including client and contact seminars; marketing collateral materials; website content and interactive tools; coordination and updating of professional and industry associations and organizations.

  • Audit - Senior Accountants

    Position is responsible for audit planning, procedures, and client relations.

    Need experience as an in-charge accountant, reviewing staff work.

    Must have strong organizations skills and be detail-oriented.

    Must have strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills.

    Ideal candidates will possess BS in Accounting, 4+ years experience with a CPA firm in public accounting auditing, strong supervisory and customer service skills & proficiency in standard audit applications.

    Non-profit experience a plus.

  • Managed Accounting Services - Senior Accountants

    Ideal candidates will possess a BS in Accounting, 4 years experience in outsourcing or non-profit accounting.

    Candidates will have strong reconciliation skills and the ability to see the big picture.

    Review processing of AP, AR, CD, CR, & PR, reconciliations of GL accounts, preparation of annual budgets, preparation of monthly & annual financial statements and year-end audit schedules.

    Candidates will have strong analytical, organizational, time management and strong communication skills.

    Prior public accounting experience, nonprofit accounting experience and knowledge of Great Plains, Solomon, Quickbooks and Peachtree preferred.

  • Raffa Technology - Avectra Analyst

    Raffa, P.C., a leader in providing business systems & technology solutions, is seeking an Association Management Systems Consultant with expertise in Avectra Enterprise. Raffa, P.C.’s technology practice is a top consulting firm in the Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC area. This person will support the Avectra Enterprise association membership management system installations and implementations, system configurations, existing client support, and data integrations from legacy and external applications for our large client base.

    This is an exciting opportunity for the appropriate candidate. They will be part of a growing Avectra Enterprise implementation team and practice in a large established consulting firm.     Desired Skills & Experience

    The successful candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on Avectra Enterprise implementation experience. Avectra Enterprise implementation and consulting background is a must for this position. A strong consulting background in the association community is needed.

    • Previous Association Management Systems experience a plus.
    • Experience with SQL is a plus.
    • Assess with client’s needs and make appropriate recommendations.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Ability to train end-users and effectively solve problems.
    • Attention to project documentation and follow-up.
