We take our citizenship role seriously and we realize that corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a work in progress -- ongoing and never-ending -- that must be nurtured, examined and improved.
Intent on moving the firm from good intentions toward strategic impact, Raffa began the process of self reflection with regard to our citizenship activities in 2010. For the first time, we carefully audited and examined our firm-wide CSR activities including financial donations, in-kind giving, pro bono efforts and both our traditional and skill-based volunteerism to evaluate our practices. This exercise proved very valuable and provided us an opportunity to consider how Raffa might become more “responsible” as a corporate citizen. It also helped us create a discipline around our CSR decision making and reporting.
