Jane Brooks Horn Jane Brooks Horn is a RAFFA Partner who has more than 25 years of diversified public accounting experience. Jane specializes in serving the needs of entrepreneurs and their business entities by providing consulting services on issues such as federal, state and local tax compliance, international tax matters, mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations, entity selection and transaction structuring.As a former principal of the highly-regarded regional CPA firm Freidkin, Matrone & Horn P.A., Jane is trusted by business owners, executives and high net worth individuals to advise them on short- and long-term business and personal financial planning. Since the merger with RAFFA, P.C., she continues to provide clients with estate planning that facilitates the orderly transfer of assets to beneficiaries and helps reduce or eliminate taxes due on the business or asset transfer; corporate succession planning that results in business continuity; and practical, technically sound tax and business advice that promotes profitability and growth. Jane is also handles a wide range of federal, state and international tax issues, including the review of complex individual, partnership, corporate, and fiduciary tax matters. Jane’s community service work includes a seat on the Advisory Board of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic School in Rockville, Maryland. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and both the Maryland and DC Association of Certified Public Accountants. Jane holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Penn State University and a Master of Science in Taxation from Southwestern University. She keeps abreast of changes in the industry by attending professional development trainings and seminars covering all aspects of accounting, auditing, taxation and financial management. |
