Elizabeth Eun Elizabeth Eun, Accounting Outsourcing Partner Liz is a partner with RAFFA and she currently manages the outsourcing practice of the firm. She joined the Firm in 1991 after 3 years with a local public accounting firm. She has more than 16 years of audit, accounting, and tax experience in not-for-profit organizations.In addition to directing and managing outsourcing engagements, Liz provides a wide variety of consulting and business advisory services to our clients. Some of the example services include assessment of business processes for effectiveness and efficiency, review of internal control structure, review of federal and non-federal grant accounting and reporting processes and compliance requirements, executive searches, review of budgeting processes and recommendations on budgeting tools and templates, implementation of various accounting systems including recommendations on proper chart of account structure and custom reports and analysis of cash flow and investment projections. She also provides tax services to our nonprofit clients in areas such as dealing with unrelated business income tax issues, tax research and projections, public support tests, applications for tax exemption (including a group exemption), state registration filings and dealings with the IRS and various state tax departments for notices and correspondence.Liz graduated from George Mason University. She has a CPA certificate from the State of Virginia and is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and American Society of Association Executives. She is currently serving as a board member of the Association Mutual Health Insurance Company, where she also serves as a member of the Finance Committee. She remains apprised of current industry trends by attending courses, seminars, and meetings concerning nonprofit accounting, reporting, and taxes. Liz has taught various seminars on topics related to nonprofit accounting and reporting such as OMB Circulars A-133, A-122 and A110 for federal grants, FAS 116 and 117 for accounting for contributions and nonprofit financial reporting,, SOP 98-2, Accounting for Costs of Activities that include Fund Raising, Sarbanes and Oxley and its impact on Nonprofits, etc. Liz also has written articles on accounting and HR outsourcing topics which were published in the American Society of Association Executives journals and RAFFA website. |
