Dennis Shine Dennis Shine, Speciality; Accounting Outsourcing Dennis is a partner with RAFFA, and he currently co-manages the outsourcing practice of the firm. He joined the Firm in 2000. Dennis has over 15 years of accounting and financial consulting experience. His special expertise is managing and supervising the financial operations of nonprofits.In addition to directing and managing outsourcing engagements, Dennis provides a wide variety of consulting and business advisory services to our clients. Some of the example services include assessment of business processes for effectiveness and efficiency, review of budgeting processes and recommendations on budgeting tools and templates, implementation of various accounting systems including recommendations on proper chart of account structure and custom reports and preparation of board of director presentations. He also has extensive experience with a variety of accounting software packages. Prior to joining our Firm, Dennis was the director of finance and computer information systems for a $300 million national nonprofit where he worked directly with the president & CEO. Additionally, Dennis has experience from another local CPA firm in analyzing statutory and regulatory directives and systems for the Federal Housing Administration’s Single Family Accounting Department. Dennis has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Nichols College where he majored in Accounting. Dennis is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Dennis is currently the Treasurer of the Board of Directors of Sons and Daughters In Touch, Inc. He remains apprised of current industry trends by attending courses, seminars and meetings concerning nonprofit accounting, reporting and taxes and has been an instructor for several seminars in accounting and reporting practices of nonprofit organizations. |
