RAFFA, P.C.'s Signature CampaignsRAFFA fulfills its mission through both its' professional services as well as through its' pubic service activities. Our aim is to grow as a company together with our employees, our customers, and our business partners in a way that benefits and strengthens our community. Some of our most recent signature campaigns include: Take 25 - Five Stories Worth TellingGoal: To help our nonprofit clients showcase their mission and attract donors to their organization.Videos help donors experience powerful, emotional stories that move them to take action. However, many nonprofits simply do not have the resources required to produce a high-quality video for their organization. TAKE 25 was designed to commemorate RAFFA’s 25th Anniversary while bringing exponential benefits to the nonprofit sector. The Firm decided that the best way to tell the RAFFA story was by helping our clients showcase their own important stories. As part of RAFFA’s Silver Anniversary Initiative, five nonprofits were awarded a custom in-kind video about their own organization. The campaign culminated in a celebratory TAKE 25 Screening Reception at the American University Katzen Arts Center for the nonprofits and their guests. Washington Post Award for Excellence in Nonprofit ManagementGoal: To identify, recognize, and showcase excellence in nonprofit management.RAFFA is proud to be a fifth year award sponsor of the annual Washington Post Award for Excellence in Nonprofit Management, a project of the Center for Nonprofit Advancement. Every year, area 501 (c)(3) nonprofits are invited to apply for this prestigious award which vets, showcases, and recognizes the best practices in nonprofit management. The finalists present their “Best Practices” at a workshop at the Washington Post which is free and open to all members of the Washington nonprofit community. The winner is announced at the conclusion of the workshop. Early on, RAFFA facilitated the process by taking the application online and has sponsored the cash award since 2006. Shining Bright- Showcasing the Sector’s Rising StarsGoal: To help shine a light on and build support for our region’s exceptional smaller, communitu-based nonprofits.Exceptional smaller and medium nonprofits need our help more than ever. The mission of the Catalogue of Philanthropy (CFP) is “to connect effective and trustworthy smaller nonprofits with individuals who want to contribute to and make a difference in their community,” and each year, CFP vets and selects approximately 68 nonprofits with budgets of $3 million or less to be featured in their annual publication, and invites individuals to connect with and support them through charitable giving. RAFFA’s SHINING BRIGHT partnership program is aimed at complementing, enhancing, and expanding the Catalogue of Philanthropy’s current efforts to shine a light on these rising starts and help connect them to prospective partners in the corporate sector. Companies for Causes- Making Socially Responsible Connections That CountGoals: To connect, educate, inspire, and help businesses jumpstart or step up their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).Philanthropy is contagious and RAFFA wants to partner with other “like minded” for-profit firms to inspire even more private companies to work up a thirst for giving back! Our aim at RAFFA is to help stir the philanthropy pot by helping to champion a corporate culture of giving in the Greater Washington region. Through a variety of strategic philanthropy workshops, special events, charitable networking opportunities, and co-branded sponsorships our goal is help awaken and inspire more corporate philanthropy. Like RAFFA, there are many other companies walking the talk and serving as ambassadors for Corporate Social Responsibility. The Companies for Causes club will serve as a vehicle to harness and leverage that collective passion for the benefit of the community! |
