Last week, hundreds of Raffa, P.C. employees, clients, and strategic partners gathered downtown to celebrate the firm’s milestone 25th Anniversary. The celebration also included Raffa, P.C.’s recent merger with the highly regarded CPA firm, Freidkin, Matrone & Horn, P.A, a women-owned CPA firm located in Rockville, MD known for providing top tier services to businesses and their owners. With the merger, FM & H will operate under the name Raffa, P.C. , which now has a total of 16 partners and approximately 250 employees.
Back in 1984, Tom Raffa established Raffa, P.C. with the goal of building a firm that could affect measurable change in the community by implementing, improving, and advancing the concepts of solid nonprofit management and corporate and social responsibility. Today, this woman-owned regional consulting, accounting, and technology firm serves more than 500 nonprofits and government clients throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and beyond.

In 1999, Tom started Raffa Financial Services, Inc. (RFSI), a Raffa, P.C. partner affiliate to provide insurance and investment products and services to the nonprofit community. In 2005, another Raffa affiliate, Raffa Wealth Management (RWM) was formed to provide investment consulting and financial planning to nonprofit organizations, private foundations, and individuals who support the nonprofit sector. Now, through the 2009 merger with FM&H, Raffa has again expanded its client services to include sophisticated business and estate tax planning, business advisory, forensic accounting, and valuation services.
